Exam pattern: Prelims, Mains, Interview

Prelims: Two objective type papers (multiple-choice questions) for a total of 400 marks. Each paper has 200 marks each and two hours allotted – (Qualifying nature), Mains Written Exam: 2 qualifying papers and 7 papers to be counted for merit & Interview

Qualifying papers:  Paper A – 300 marks – One of the Indian Language to be selected by the candidate from the languages included in the 8th Schedule to the Constitution, Paper B (300 marks) – English

7 papers to be counted for merit: Paper – I  Essay 250 Marks, Paper – II (Indian Heritage and Culture, History and Geography of the World & Society) 250 Marks, Paper – III General Studies – II (Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International relations) 250 Marks, Paper – IV General Studies – III (Technology, Economic Development, Bio-diversity, Environment, Security & Disaster Management) 250 Marks, Paper – V General Studies – IV  (Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude) 250 Marks, Paper – VI Optional Subject – Paper 1 250 Marks, Paper – VII 250 Marks

Interview:  75 marks

Indian Forest Service (IFS)

Eligibility:  Bachelor’s degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics and Zoology, Agriculture or Forestry or in Engineering

Age: 21 years to 32 years

Exam pattern: Prelims, Mains & Interview

Prelim (objective type): Paper 1 and Paper 2.  200 marks each and a 2-hour duration for each paper total of 400 marks

Mains: Paper-I General English – 300 marks, Paper-II General Knowledge – 300 marks,  Paper III Optional Subject 1 200 marks, Paper-IV Optional Subject 2 – 200 marks, Paper-V Optional Subject 3 – 200 marks, Paper VI Optional Subject 4 – 200 marks – Total – 1400 marks

Indian Economics Services & Statistical Service (IES)

Eligibility: Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics/Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics/Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics

Age: 21 to 30 years

Exam patter: I-Written examination carrying a maximum of 1000 marks & Part II-Interview
