RRB Technical Exam – Brief Overview

 

RRB Technical exams are conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) for the recruitment of candidates into technical posts in various departments of Indian Railways.

 

 

Key Details:

1)Conducted by: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)

2)Purpose: To recruit candidates for technical posts such as:

  • Junior Engineer (JE)
  • Depot Material Superintendent (DMS)
  • Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA)

3)Eligibility:

  • Educational Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Engineering (in relevant discipline)
  • Age Limit: Generally 18–33 years (may vary depending on the post and category)

4)Selection Process:

  • 1st Stage CBT (Prelims)
  • 2nd Stage CBT (Mains)
  • Document Verification
  • Medical Examination

5)Subjects:

  • Mathematics
  • General Intelligence and Reasoning
  • General Awareness
  • General Science

2nd Stage CBT:

1)Subjects:

  • General Awareness
  • Physics and Chemistry
  • Basics of Computers and Applications
